At Al Fajr, our English and Arabic Reading Programme is built to achieve real results; many of our children learn to read and write in both English and Arabic before they even leave FS2.
We don’t wait until a child reaches a certain age to begin — the moment a child shows signs of readiness, sometimes as early as 1.5 years old, we start nurturing that ability, meeting each child exactly where they are.
Our Hifz programme takes children through structured memorisation, including long surahs, a level of achievement that consistently surprises parents about what their young children are capable of.
Our SEN team includes real, specialized training in speech therapy, learning difficulties, and skills development, helping us uncover abilities in children that even their own parents didn’t know were there, and guide them to grow.
We believe children understand best when they discover things with their own hands. Montessori-inspired materials are woven into daily lessons across every subject, so knowledge is explored and genuinely understood, not just told.
Each Understanding the World topic ends with a real trip connected to what children have learned, bringing lessons to life outside the classroom nearly every month.
From painting and sensory art to cooking, craft, and nature-inspired projects, art is a regular, valued part of every child’s week at Al Fajr, building fine motor skills, confidence, and self-expression alongside pure creative joy.
