MONTESSORI-INSPIRED LEARNING
At Al Fajr, we integrate Montessori-inspired materials and principles into our core British EYFS curriculum. This isn't a separate programme; it's woven into how we teach every day, giving children the structure and progression of EYFS alongside the hands-on, self-directed spirit of Montessori.
Why We Believe in Hands-On Learning
We believe children understand best when they discover things with their own hands. That's why practical, experience-based learning is at the core of how we teach: real experiments, sensory activities, and Montessori-inspired materials, woven into daily lessons so that knowledge isn't just given to a child, but genuinely explored and understood by them.
Montessori Materials in Our Classrooms
Montessori-inspired materials don't replace our EYFS curriculum; they enrich it. Every material in our classrooms is chosen to support the seven EYFS areas of learning, giving children a structured academic foundation while allowing them to explore and learn at their own pace.
